FO0D13

here are some of my eat clean recipes:

overnight oats in a jar (oiaj) plain version

Ingredients:
0.5 cup rolled oats
0.5 cup low fat milk (used marigold in this case)
1 serving of yogurt
a dash of cinnamon (optional but it rly makes a diff)

just mix everything and leave it covered overnight in the fridge. add your fruits/nuts/condiments in the morning when u eat and enjoy :-)

overnight oiaj (very berry version) & lemon water
this recipe saves money on yogurt! I can use 1 serving of yogurt to make twice the serving of oatmeal as compared to the recipe above. can you see the diff in the oatmeal level??? hahah

ingredients:
1 cup strawberry milk
1 cup rolled oats
1 serving of mixed berries low fat yogurt
a dash of cinnamon
0.5 banana (leave the other half to snack on with peanut butter later, or freeze it for smoothies)

same as above! place sliced bananas on your oatmeal only when you're about to eat cause they soften rly easily

Lemon water
cut your lemon into slices and put 2 slices in a bottle of COLD water.

I put 3 and my water tasted super sour after a while T_T. in case you aren't aware of the benefits of drinking lemon water to start your day, NOW YOU KNOW IT'S GOOD. HAHHA I'm too lazy to tell you everything. but it speeds up your metabolism and ++++ aiya v good la

stir fried veggies
this is quite stupid um it's not exactly a recipe it's just a how-to.
ingredients:
anything really. whatever healthy food u can find in your kitchen.
a clove of garlic, minced
half a broccoli
1/8 of capsicum or yellow/red/green pepper
4-6 shitake mushrooms, chopped
3 asparagus shoots, sliced diagonally
some corn
a handful of almonds

boil vegetables in water for 7-10min, drizzle a little of virgin olive oil on a frying pan. throw in minced garlic. when garlic turned a little brown, throw in capsicum and mushrooms. when they looked softer, throw in boiled vegetables and sauté till you're happy enough to eat

quinoa fried rice
ingredients:
same as stir fried veggies
1/4 to 1/2 of tofu, diced
0.5 cup of quinoa
0.5 cup of water

rinse quinoa till water is not murky. don't wash it if yours is the prerinsed pack.
boil quinoa + water in a pot. when it starts boiling eg bubbling, turn the heat to super super super über low and cover the pot. set your timer at 10min. check back every now and then to stir. if by 10min, there're still some water present in the pot, wait for a few more minutes till the quinoa absorb the water fully.

fry the tofu a little till they're brownish (not burnt)
do whatever said above in the prev recipe to cook the veggies
throw in EVERYTHING (quinoa + veggies) into a large saucepan once the quinoa has absorbed all the water. add a little lite soy sauce, black pepper, chili flakes/paprika powder, whatever u like to taste. now fry your quinoa fried rice like you do when you order pepper lunch. HAHA.
PS. you can add in an egg at the very end like me~

waffles
YES I have a waffle maker at home!!!! such a genius creation HAHA. I'm too lazy to source for the recipe & website I referred when I made this though. and not many people need this since not everyone has a waffle maker. so just pop me a question on ask.fm if you're really keen :-)

AND WELL..... haven't been the most disciplined when it comes to eating clean and working out religiously everyday! I'm sooooo tired everyday. can't say I'm busy because I have the time to use twitter etc but it just wasn't my priority HAHA. #honest

GARLIC NAAN + BUTTER CHICKEN THINGUM + CHOCOLATE TISSUE @ Al-Azhar.

not filling one ok hahaha after eating the naan nix and I felt like we didn't even eat anything at all. so we ordered the tissue. the naan wasn't great despite the hype over the restaurant. but the tissue saved it :-). spent ~$9 per person (didn't feel it was v worth it)

***had garlic naan and the butter chicken thingum at its rival stall nearby Al-Ameen before a year ago I think but even tho it received poorer ratings than Al-Azhar, I thought the food tasted better!!!***

SSIKKEK @ junction 10
had the dinner buffet on a weekday at around 6pm+. totally empty and was free to take whatever I wanted without having to shun people and queue. the crowd started coming in at 8ish?

REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE LIKE ASDFGHJKL. it's sooooooo good like omg. didn't eat the beef though cause of my religion. but other than that, the meat was good. I love love love the marinated pork and BBQ chicken. I love their side dishes so much too! which is evil of them to make them so delicious cause you're supposed to eat your worth at a buffet HAHA but I couldn't stop stuffing myself with the side dishes.

love love love their sushi, noodles, kimchi pancake and seaweed soup. I love their rice also OMG that's v bad HAHHAHA.

spent around $25 per pax!

this pic is for my cute mum who wondered how barbecued sushi taste like and placed it on the grill LOL. it tasted the same....... in case you were wondering.

UPDATE: went back to this place again after a month or two and got sick of the meat already.... maybe cause my family and I weren't rly hungry so the abundance of meat was kind of turn off.... after a while. :-( BUT I LOVE THEIR DEEP FRIED SWEET POTATOES THO. they change their selection of side dishes everyday I think. see i told u I love their sidedishes. hahahahha
